About Morning Class
We are a family of teachers who have taught thousands of students over multiple decades in English-medium schools within the United Kingdom and South Africa. We have expertise in assisting primary school students with learning difficulties in Mathematics, Reading and Writing.
Our methods of guided discovery, RAVE-O reading and other techniques of evidence based and research informed teaching allow us to quickly assess and adapt to your child’s learning needs so that they can master the curriculum.
Our Focus
As a foundational activity, we employ evidence-based teaching techniques to ensure that your child is able to accelerate their reading achievement.
Once your child is able to read with fuller meaning and understanding, our focus of instruction shifts to writing for comprehension by multiple other readers.
Our lessons also involve the formalisation and comprehension of mathematics as a language of logical reasoning and deduction. We have found the technique of guided discovery to be an invaluable tool for understanding mathematics, where rote learning is insufficient for proper application throughout life.

Mrs Grant-Stuart has a wealth of experience in teaching primary school students within the United Kingdom and South Africa. She has tutored students one-on-one for more than a decade, uses gamification of lessons to enthrall her students and ensures that her students’ emotional needs are taken care of during lessons.
